Our new Superintendent Steve K. Denny welcomes you to the 2024-2025 school year with a special video message below!
Dear Students, Staff, Families, and Community Members,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! As we embark on a new academic year together, it is with great pleasure and anticipation that I extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you. Whether you are returning to our district or joining us for the first time, we are thrilled to have you as part of our Warrior family. For the past 25 years, I have been fortunate to be a Warrior at all levels of our school system, and I am now proud to serve as your new superintendent.
This is an exciting time to be a part of Winton Woods City Schools. Our schools have a long history of providing great opportunities to students, staff, and families. I am committed to continuing to work with all the members of our educational community to ensure these proud traditions endure and develop. It is critically important that we foster a safe environment where every student feels seen, heard, and valued. We also remain steadfast in building an inclusive culture that embraces individual uniqueness and promotes equity for everyone. Our district will continue to be a leader in problem- and project-based learning. This innovative approach is at the heart of our instructional model and it empowers our schools to be places of creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and growth.
The start of a new school year marks a time of renewal, growth, and endless possibilities. It is a time to set new goals, embrace fresh challenges, and foster a sense of community and collaboration that empowers us all to achieve our fullest potential. As we navigate the opportunities and adventures that lie ahead, I am confident that together, we will make this year one of growth, achievement, and memorable experiences.
In summary, our collective efforts should be focused on the work of equipping each student with an education that is future ready, whole-child centered, equity-driven, and fiscally sound.
Let us move forward with purpose and this shared vision. I am eager to work alongside each of you to ensure that Winton Woods City Schools remains a place where people truly want to be - a great place to learn, work, and grow together. We. Are. Warriors.
With gratitude and anticipation,
