Awards and Recognitions - Child Nutrition Department

In May 2018 and April 2019, Winton Woods City Schools Food Services Department received a Champion of School Breakfast Award from the Ohio Department of Education. Winton Woods City Schools was one of 10 districts in Ohio recognized for their innovative and collaborative school breakfast practices.

Winton Woods City Schools was the only school along with Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) to receive the award two years in a row.

On most months, Winton Woods City Schools serves 36,000 breakfasts and 50,000 lunches —

We pride ourselves on our "quality meals," such as chicken alfredo, steak and chicken lo mein, and steak and cheese paninis, while keeping our menus healthy, culturally responsive and surpassing USDA requirements. For example, we have no fryers in our school kitchens, and we serve limited pork products.
