Grades 7-12 Learning
Winton Woods City Schools students in grades 7-12 receive their instructions across two grade-band configurations:
- Middle School (Grades 7-8)
- High School (Grades 9-12)
All instruction occurs at our North Campus. Winton Woods Middle School offers math and foreign language classes for high school credit, as well as advanced classes in science and language arts. We also offer elective engineering courses that introduce students to technology and robotics.
Winton Woods High School is fully accredited by AdvancEd and is a full member of the Southern Regional Educational Board (SREB) High Schools That Work (HSTW) school improvement network. Every student on the main campus who is enrolled in College Prep, College Credit Plus, Honors or Advanced Placement courses belongs to either the Academy of Global Studies (AGS) or the New Tech Academy (NTA).
The district offers 22 competitive varsity sports, as well as various clubs. Many of these opportunities begin in our primary schools. Numerous sports teams have earned regional and state recognition. The district is recognized throughout the region for its outstanding music offerings and has earned regional, state, and international honors for its choir, band, orchestra, and art programs. As a result of our dedication to a comprehensive music program, the National Association of Music Merchant designated Winton Woods City Schools as one of the Best Communities for Music Education in the country.
