Early Childhood (Preschool-Kindergarten)

Winton Woods City Schools' academic focus begins in early childhood with a preschool program that offers a blend of general and special education. Our program offers morning and afternoon classes, as well as an all-day option. We provide inclusionary classrooms that serve children with special needs and typically developing children. All teachers are certified in early childhood education and special education. The program also has the benefit of an extended staff which includes a physical therapist, occupational therapist, and a speech pathologist. In 2016, the program received a five-star rating—the highest—from the State of Ohio’s Step Up to Quality rating system.

The district also offers all-day kindergarten to all children. Since its inception, over 98% of Winton Woods' kindergarten students were promoted to first grade.
