Winton Woods Primary North and South Hold Special Programs for Veterans Day

Veterans Day Program

Winton Woods Primary North and South held two phenomenal programs for Veterans Day. Parents, guardians, and members of the service invited were highly impressed and moved by their devotion to honor and teach the next generation about the service and commitment to our nation.  Each ceremony included a portion dedicated to discovering what a veteran is and the five branches of the military.

Winton Woods Primary North Grandmother and former member of the Navy, Robin Moore, shared how she had never experienced anything like it before. “I cried,” said Moore. “The fact is, you do not see this every day. The program was so nice and meant more to me than anything I will receive today. Other schools need to implement this. It is important they learn.”

Veteran grandparents, parents, and members of the Warrior community were acknowledged individually and thanked by their branches. To show appreciation, each program included a variety of different performances, special gifts, a community meal, and cards to those who have served and continue to protect our country.
