Goodbye Spectrum, Hello ACP (Affordable Connectivity Program)

 

Our Spectrum opportunity is ending on or before June 30, 2023. Winton Woods City Schools is excited to partner with ACP Connectivity Champions to provide Wi-Fi services to our Warrior families. This $30 monthly credit can provide free or reduced home Wi-Fi depending on the internet speed chosen by any internet service provider. Home Internet can be FREE with the Affordable Connectivity Program. The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a government program to help low-income households pay for internet services. You can make your transition to the new Wi-Fi provider and enroll as early as TODAY.

How do I apply?

There are 3 ways to enroll:

3) Phone at 844-K12-OHIO (844-512-6446)

 

 

Who is Eligible?

You or someone you live with currently qualify and/or receives a government benefit such as K-12 students who receive free or reduced meals, SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, WIC, and Pell Grant.

You will hear back within 24 hours if you qualify.

What To Do After You Are Approved

Take the approval ID number to the ISP (internet service provider such as Altafiber, Fuse, AT&T, Spectrum, T-Mobile, etc.) you’d like to apply with and call any service provider you’d like to sign up with to use your $30 credit. We encourage families to mention they are a part of the Affordable Connectivity Program when contacting the service provider of their choosing. 

 

FAQ

What do I do with my Spectrum equipment?

If you participated in our Spectrum free Wi-Fi service program for the school year, you are required to return your equipment to any UPS or Spectrum store location. If you do not return your equipment, you will be billed for the items.

 

Is this service free?

This is a $ 30-a-month discount for free wifi services. There are $30 monthly service level packages that can make this free. You can choose any service provider. You are able to shop at any service provider. If you choose a higher service level package over $30, the difference could come at a cost.
