Board Member

Mrs. Paula Kuhn is a lifetime member of our community who grew up in Forest Park, graduated from Forest Park High School in 1979, and has lived in Greenhills for 34 years. Paula and her husband, Jim, raised their four children in this community and are also proud grandparents to six.

As a school district parent since 1987, Mrs. Kuhn dedicated her volunteer work through numerous community and school groups to strengthen and enhance programs for the direct benefit of the district’s children. Serving in multiple leadership roles including president for WWC PTA, Performing Arts Boosters and the Winton Woods Educational Foundation, she has worked as an ardent advocate for our students whose successes are the ultimate goal.  Additional district-related roles include serving as chairperson for CEPSI (School Levy Committee), as a member of the Facility Advising Committee, as a member of the Community Superintendent Selection Committee, as well as countless other committees and volunteer projects.

Elected to the Winton Woods Board of Education in November 2015, Mrs. Kuhn is eager for the collaborative work with fellow board members, the superintendent, and the treasurer to raise academic expectations and excellence with optimal outcomes for every student, while providing a well-balanced array of curricular and extracurricular programs.  Growing up as a student of our district and also as a parent, Paula’s passion and tireless energies derive from a deep-seated commitment instilled as a child to honor those who sacrificed for her generation’s education. She believes to serve our community is a welcome obligation in order for our next generation to have a strong education.

“As a natural extension to champion my own children’s education, it is my mission to serve all of our district’s children, advocating a powerful educational foundation that will afford ongoing opportunities for success to every student.  As a school board member, it is imperative for our board to provide adequate resources, strategic visions, and methods that foster academic excellence while affording practical life skills needed to become thriving, productive members of our community. Public education is the great economic equalizer and communities fostering this ideal promote futures of opportunity.”

Professionally for the past 29 years, Paula has worked as a sales manager for a pharmaceutical company, where she manages 20 salespeople and supporting staff.  This goal-driven, results-oriented responsibility and experience lend well to forging ever higher academic, social and service expectations and creating measured strategies that will deliver the desired results for the Winton Woods School District.
