Guidance Counselor Kim Goins believes senior Lilly Smith is “an absolute role model in all aspects of life” which is why she selected her for November’s Kiwanis Student of the Month. “I have had the pleasure of working with Lilly for four years and during that time she has truly immersed herself in the high school culture,” said Goins. “In addition to being a senior, Lilly is a honor student with a 4.2 weighted GPA. She has been a member of the girls’ varsity soccer team for all four years, including serving as captain both junior and senior year. She has been a Student Council Representative for all four years including treasure, vice president and president. Also, she currently serves as President of the National Honors Society and Senior Ambassadors. Other organizations Lilly participates in are Philanthropy Club, Tech Olympics and Yearbook. And if that was not enough, Lilly saw the need for a female mentoring group and created ‘I See You in Me’ as well as a cheering student section at high school athletic events called ‘The Tribe’.”

“She is a strong academic student as well as a kind and globally conscious young lady who is willing to offer her helping hand at any time. I have no doubt we will be reading and hearing about all of Lilly’s contributions to society. I am so proud of the amazing young lady she has become and wish nothing but the best in her future endeavors.”
