The OGT test is only required for the graduating class of 2017 and earlier.
The Ohio Graduation Test (OGT) is designed to assess student proficiency in Reading, Math, Writing, Science and Social Studies through grade 10. Passing the OGT is required to graduate from high school for those graduating in or before 2017. Therefore, it is important students work hard in their classes to learn for understanding and not just for a grade. Teachers, counselors, and administrators also work hard thoughout the year to prepare students for the OGT with intense practice lessons inside and outside of the classroom. Please see the links at the right for more information on OGT preparation.
