Dr. Claire Crook, Principal
Winton Woods Primary North

Dear Parents/Guardian and Students,

Hi, I'm Dr. Claire Crook, Principal of Primary North Campus.  My education career spans 30 years and includes a variety of experiences.  I graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Early Elementary Education, received a Master's degree from Xavier University in School Administration and a Doctorate from Ohio State in Mathematics Education.

I spent the majority of my career with Columbus City Schools as an elementary and middle school teacher and a principal for grades 1 through 6.

I have written Parent Handbooks and Student Workbooks for teaching mathematics in grades 3 through 5.   After retiring from Columbus Schools, I worked as a mathematics consultant and curriculum coordinator for several years before realizing that my real passion lies with working with students and parents.  I joined the Winton Woods School System in August, 2005.

I believe that parents are key factors in preparing students for the future.  I encourage all parents to communicate with the teachers and their child’s principal.  I firmly believe that all concerns are significant.  Parents must feel positive about their child’s educational experiences.  “I have an open door policy” and look forward to working with the parents, students and staff at Winton Woods Primary North
