REMINDER

The WWC PTA will be holding its October PTA meeting at 7:00pm at Winton Woods Primary North on Monday, October 22, 2007.

(directions to WWP North are at the bottom of this message.)

The WWC PTA has an immediate need for teams or individuals to fill  the following Committee chair roles.

In-school Student Programs/Assemblies
Duties: Inform WWC PTA regarding possible curriculum-approved elementary student programs/assemblies; coordinate and consult with building principals on scheduling curriculum-approved elementary student programs/assemblies; when necessary, work in conjunction with the volunteer coordinator if and when volunteers are needed; attend monthly WWC PTA meetings; represent WWC PTA in positive manner.

Family Programs:
Duties: Inform the WWC PTA of possible events; coordinate family-centered programs for elementary-aged students; work in conjunction with the volunteer coordinator in having volunteers available to help with purchasing items, set-up, serving and clean-up; attend WWCPTA meetings the month before, during and after main events; represent WWC PTA in a positive manner.
These are works in progress, several groups have been contacted/tentatively booked regarding some of the in-school programs and several of the family programs are underway.  We are looking for some ones to fill these roles and bring these programs to life for our children.

These committee heads need to work in conjunction with the building principal and the building PTA vice-presidents in planning and scheduling. 

***Please note: these are committee chair roles.  This does not mean you have to do all the work.  You will have to work with the building principals, PTA vice-presidents and volunteers to bring the programs and events to life.

If you are intereseted in either of these roles, please contact me before Monday, October 22nd, which is the next PTA meeting.

Directions to WW Primary North:  If traveling south on Winton Rd., turn LEFT on Sharon Rd.  then turn RIGHT on Junefield Ave.  Go through three stop signs and the school will be on your LEFT.
 
If traveling north on Winton Rd., turn RIGHT on Sharon Rd.  then turn RIGHT on Junefield Ave.  Go through three stop signs and the school will be on your LEFT.
