  • Education:  Hello, I am Mrs. Karen Emmons. I worked 16 years at the University of Cincinnati as an Information Systems Trainer, while pursuing my degree in Compuer Science and Elementary Education.  I have been employeed with WWCS since 1995, as an Instructional Assistant.  I continue to further my education by taking various computer technology classes to assist teacher's incorporating technology with classroom curriculum.  In 2000, I joined the Beechwoods (now Primary North) staff and have enjoyed working with your children, as the Instructional Media Assistant.
  • Family: I am a third generation Greenhillian.  I live in the Winton Woods City School district with my husband, Bill and our two sons Josh and Jesse., who are both Winton Woods City School graduates  Josh is atteding UC Pre-Pharmacy and Jesse is currently a PFC stationed at Fort Benning GA,   He plans to serve in the Army Infantry Airborne Division. 
  • Favorite Thing about Teaching: I love to introduce students to great authors and illustrators. I enjoy the students' enthusiasm most! I LOVE it when I see the "light bulbs of learning" turning on, whether they have found an author they enjoy or are learning a new computer skill

  • Favorite Movie: Anne of Green Gables.
  • Hobbies and Interests: Reading, writing, golfing, technology, collecting music boxes and spending time with my family. My mother and I are members of the Greenhills Public Library, Mystery Book Club.
  • Birthday: I was born on Mother's Day, May 11th , in Atlanta Georgia .
