Dress Code for Spring Picture Day – May 13, 2008 (revised)
Prohibited Attire:
- Clothing adorned with sexually suggestive slogans, profanity, lewd pictures or that which is offensive to a religion, race or national origin.
- Clothing that is identifiable with any gang or group/cult, jail attire.
- Clothing or jewelry that promotes alcohol, drugs, tobacco, weapons or other harmful substances.
- Shirts must be tucked in
Tops and Bottoms:
- Clothing that is cut off or frayed or has holes, rips and tears.
- Clothing that allows cleavage, the midriff, bareback and/or undergarments to be exposed
- Bicycle tights (Spandex), leggings, stretch pants.
- Tank tops, crop tops, muscle shirts, spaghetti strap tops, see-through tops, mesh-style tops.
- Camouflage or military style clothing.
- Non-school sponsored military attire
Items that may not be worn or carried during the day:
- Hair curlers, bedroom slippers and pajamas.
- Excessive use of theatrical make-up.
- Chains not designed as jewelry, pet collars, spiked accessories.
- Hats, head coverings and sunglasses.
- Outerwear (i.e., coats, jackets) and heavy outdoor vests, sweat tops w/ hoods
- Backpacks, briefcases, satchels, gym bags
- Slippers, high-heeled shoes, flip flops, or sandals
Special Rules:
- Shorts, skorts, skirts and dresses must be worn at a length no shorter than the fingertips when the arms and hands are outstretched at the side.
- Bottom apparel must be worn at the waist.
