Tonya West-Wright

Hello! My name is Tonya West Wright and I am excited to be the principal of Winton Woods Intermediate School.   I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from The Ohio State University and continued with my education to obtain a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Michigan.  I taught English in Ann Arbor, Michigan for one year before returning to Ohio.  Upon my return to Cincinnati, I taught English at Northwest High School for five years and also served as the varsity volleyball coach.  During this time, I also earned a Master of Arts in Administration from the University of Cincinnati.

For the past four years, I have worked as an assistant principal at Winton Woods High School.  I have enjoyed my time at the high school and look forward to starting the new school year as principal of Winton Woods Intermediate School.

Assistant Principal

Mrs. Frey

Hello, I’m Mrs. Linda Frey, Assistant Principal of Winton Woods Intermediate School (WWIS).  I received my Bachelors of Science degree in communication disorders and my Master of Education from the University of Cincinnati.  My educational licensure areas include pupil personnel administration, curriculum and professional development, and educational administration.

I began my career in education 15 years ago as an intervention specialist at Winton Woods Middle School.  Following my 7 year tenure in that position, I served as an intervention specialist in the Ross Local School District for 2 years.  I returned to Winton Woods City Schools to serve as a special education supervisor in 2001.  In this position, I had the pleasure of working with students and families in grades K through 12.  My responsibilities afforded me the opportunity to create and assist in the development of alternative education opportunities for high school and middle school students with disabilities.

It is with great pleasure that I continue my professional career in this new position at Winton Woods Intermediate School.  I look forward to meeting and working with our intermediate students and their families, and with the WWIS teaching, support, and administrative team!
