Sophomore to Attend Leadership Conference
Winton Woods High School sophomore Asia Hernandez has been chosen to represent the school at the Southwest Hugh O'Brian Youth (HOBY)Leadership Conference in June.
Hoby is a youth leadership development organization where students are introduced to distinguished community leaders from various sectors such as business, technology, education, government, arts and science.
HOBY's main learning venue small-group discussions with peers. During each session, three to four panelists with differing viewpoints are chosen to emphasize the critical thinking component of leadership: how to think, not what to think.
Students from high schools in all 50 states, plus the District of Columbia, Canada, Mexico, Korea, Taiwan and Israel attend HOBY annually.
Congratulations to Asia!
