Marching Band Holds Tag Day

Winton Woods High School band members will be holding a Tag Day on Saturday, April 26 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. to raise money for new band uniforms.

Marizzel Garcia Wins Conference Scholarship!

Congratulations to junior Marizzel Garcia whose winning essay has won her a $1,200 scholarship to attend the Freedoms Foundation, "Spirit of America Youth Conference” in Philadelphia from April 24- 27. Only 13 students were selected from the Cincinnati area.

ONLINE DATABASES ADDED TO LIBRARY COLLECTION

The WWHS library now has four online databases to assist students with homework and research. These databases are accessible via the Internet both at school and at home with a password assigned to our school. These new databases along with the e-books purchased earlier this year, plus the INFOhio databases provided by the state, provide our students with a wealth of authoritative, reliable information. All of these databases are linked from the library’s homepage. Students should see Mrs. Sisk for the passwords to access the databases. A brief description of each of the new databases is below.

Winton Woods Varsity Ensemble choir participates in local "Clash of the Choirs"

WLWT, local Channel 5, is sponsoring its own version of the popular "Clash of the Choirs". Each night during the month of February, Channel 5 will feature a local choir as part of their news broadcast, and then choirs will be featured on the WLWT website. People will then have an opportunity to listen to each choir's entries and support their favorites with an eventual winner being chosen.

New Uniforms the start of "New Musical Tradition" at WWHS

Band director Dani Ashbrook is hoping to start a new musical tradition at Winton Woods High School with new uniforms for members of the school's Marching Band.

Korean Essay Contest Winners

Winton Woods High School freshmen Antonio Poole and Malcolm Thompson received honorable mention in the Korean Spirit and Culture Essay Contest, a nationwide competition.
