Winton Woods City Schools has been awarded an Early Childhood Grant from the Ohio Department of Education. These funds will provide preschool as well as transportation to the first 15 economically disadvantaged children who apply. Applicants who qualify will need to provide verification of income and should be district residents.
Irene Onianwa, a junior at Winton Woods High School, is always willing to lend a hand. “Irene comes to school every day with a smile on her face and looks for ways to serve others,” said her counselor Kevin Jones.
Graduates Allison Holtman and Anthony Thompson were honored at the June meeting of the Greenhills-Forest Park Kiwanis Club as this year's scholarship recipients from Winton Woods High School.
Winton Woods City Schools Superintendent Anthony G. Smith told a group of community members recently that he had met his hero the night before. That hero was Winton Woods Elementary School third grader Chaz Moss.
