Gifted And Talented

The Winton Woods City School District provides opportunities for gifted and/or talented students through our GTE and GTA programs.

The GTE program serves students who are identified as educationally gifted.  Students rank in the top 5% of grade levels three through eight and are identified by superior performance, staff recommendation and results of nationally normed intelligence and achievement testing.  The curriculum focuses on high level skills.

  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Research process

The GTA program serves students who are identified as artistically gifted.  Artistically talented students at the elementary level are offered special classes five hours per week in visual arts.  The students at the middle school are offered special art classes for a semester.
