Alternative Education And Accountability

by Doug Bertram last modified Saturday, July 21

The Alternative Education component of the department consists of a program for students at-risk of not graduating from high school.

This computer-based intervention program serves students from grade 7 through high school -- and beyond.  The unique structure of the program allows for the opportunity to pilot instructional concepts and approaches that help to better serve students.  In this way, the program is similar to the "Model School" sites often found on university campuses.

The Accountability element of the department monitors the K-12 Testing Program.  It also serves in the role of District Testing
Coordination for contact purposes with the State Testing Program and testing companies.
