Board President Message
Welcome to the Winton Woods City School District’s web site. In
addition to newsletters sent home with students or mailed to all
residences, newspaper articles, telecasts on Waycross Community Media,
and personal contacts, this web site is one of many ways that we inform
our community of school programs, schedules and other important
information.
As you may know, this is the last year of operation for the Cameron Park Elementary School. This 42 year old building served thousands of students and will be fondly remembered. This is also an exciting time as we will be creating four new schools by reconfiguring the programs and grades taught in the Lakeside, Beechwoods, Winton Forest and Waycross elementary schools. The staff is busy with the plans so that our students will experience a smooth transition for the 2007-08 school year.
Winton Woods is truly a school district that is cultivating a world class education for the children that you entrust to us. As your elected board members, we take that trust very seriously. We encourage everyone to become involved in our schools in any way that your time and interest permits.
