Winton Woods MS Art Students Win Scholastic Art Awards

Winton Woods MS Art Students Win Scholastic Art Awards

From self-portraits to still life sketches, printmaking to ceramics, art students at Winton Woods Middle School showed off their talent at the Southern Ohio/Northern Kentucky Regional Scholastic Art Awards. Seven students came away with awards ranging from top honors of Gold Key winner to Silver Key winners and honorable mentions.

 

Gold Key winners Tia Shelton (Drawing – Portrait) and Jordan Comeaux (Drawing – Portrait) have had their work sent on to the national Scholastic Art competition. Silver Key winners were Jamica Dorsey (Drawing – Portrait), Tom Foertmeyer (Drawing – Portrait) and Olivia Suggs (Drawing – Portrait). Maria Diaz (Drawing) and Claudia Mendoza (Printmaking) received honorable mentions.

 

Twenty-two students from Winton Wood Middle School entered the competition including Savannah Bryant, Kristen Budke, Katelyn Budke, Sariah Ficklin, Luis Guerrero, Courtney Irby, Mia Johnson, Mina Johnson, Chrissy Schriefer, Caleb Simpson, Brittany Starkey, Tiara Starr, Saman Tavalali, Robby Walker, and Jeremy Whiting.
