Winton Woods High School’s Hollins Finalist for LaRosa’s MVP Award
Winton Woods High School 2009 graduate Dayeesha Hollins is among six area female high school athletes who have been named as finalists for the prestigious LaRosa's "High School MVP of the Year" award.
Hollins, who will be attending the University of Michigan on a full basketball scholarship, is a basketball All-American nominee and was First Team All-State.
The winners of the award will be announced at the annual Buddy LaRosa's Sports Hall of Fame Banquet Sunday, June 28.
The LaRosa's Male and Female MVPs of the Year awards began in 1986 and are the oldest and most prestigious on-going awards given annually in Greater Cincinnati to honor outstanding high school athletic achievement. Athletes are nominated by area high schools, fans and coaches.
