Winton Woods Grad Awarded U.C. Mechanical Engineering Scholarship

Kyle Day, a 2009 graduate of Winton Woods High School, has been awarded a $10,000 one-year scholarship from the University of Cincinnati’s Mechanical Engineering Department.  The scholarship, which is sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. William Lower, was presented on Friday, June 5 at the Engineering College’s annual end-of-the-year awards. 

 

William Lower was President of ROTEX Inc. in Northside from 1995 to 2002.  Under his leadership, the company went global and now has a presence in the United Kingdom, Belgium and France.  The company manufactures equipment for the process industry.

 

Day, who is also the recipient of a Cincinnatus Scholarship from U.C. and a Choose Ohio First Scholarship, is the son of Michael and Debbie Day of Springfield Township.
