City of Forest Park, Village of Greenhills, Springfield Township
Located 15 miles north of metropolitan Cincinnati, the Winton Woods City School District serves approximately 3,900 students from the three neighboring communities of Greenhills, Forest Park and northern Springfield Township. The district's location in the north end of the I-275 loop provides easy access to the Greater Cincinnati Metropolitan area which features museums, theaters, colleges and universities, opera, ballet, symphony, Pops orchestra and two professional sports teams, as well as the third largest zoo in the country.
The rolling hills and 2,375 forested acres of Winton Woods Park, on the Hamilton County's largest parks, provides the backdrop for the district. The park provides families with year-round camping, hiking, picnic areas and playground facilities. Boating and fishing are available on the lake. Two public golf courses and the newly constructed Meadow Links Golf Academy, located within the park boundaries, provide challenging golf. The communities share not only a school district and public park but long-standing traditions advocating family, quality education and community pride.
Village of Greenhills
Greenhills, home to Winton Woods Primary School - North Campus and Winton Woods Middle Schools, is one of three "greenbelt" communities built by the Federal Government in the 1930s. Surrounded by parkland and trees, Greenhills has nearly 4,400 residents in 1,685 housing units, with many families representing the third and fourth generations to live there. Some unique housing units are available in the Village of Greenhills. The original government-built area is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Much of the local retail is centered in the historic Greenhills Shopping Center. More than 1,100 people are employed in the Village of Greenhills working for such diverse employers as the Winton Woods City Schools, Mobilcomm Technologies and the Alois Alzheimer Center. The Village has a strong recreation program operating a nine-hole par-three executive golf course and an outdoor pool, both of which are open to the public. Youth sports are sponsored year-round by the Greenhills-Winton Sports Association. The Greenhills Volunteer Fire Department, America Legion Post 530, Greenhills Women's Club, Kiwanis and numerous scouting, church, gardening, civic and senior clubs are among the volunteer organizations serving the residents of Greenhills.
City of Forest Park
In response to the surge in economic growth following World War II, the Warner-Kanter Corporation set aside a portion of the unused land from the Greenhills development and began what was to become Forest Park. In 1961, Forest Park was incorporated as a Village and designated as a city in 1968.
A planned community since its inception, Forest Park is now the third largest city in Hamilton County, with over 18,000 residents in 6,584 households. Styles of residences range from older, single-family homes to new single-family residential developments to apartments and condominiums, all in attractive surroundings. Using a master plan to develop its 3,800- plus acres, Forest Park integrates commercial developments and high quality neighborhoods while leaving the surrounding greenbelt virtually undisturbed.
Forest Park takes pride in the cultural and socio-economic diversity of its residents. The combination of hospitality and small town flavor, yet easy access to excellent shopping and convenience to metropolitan leisure attractions makes Forest Park an ideal community for a home or business.
Springfield Township

With a population of over 37,000 people, Springfield Township combines the best attributes of a successful residential and business community. The northern portion of Springfield Township is in the Winton Woods City Schools school district. Family businesses co-exist comfortably with large, nationally-based companies to add convenience to the lives of residents and those who work here. Quality neighborhoods and schools are also key components that help attract businesses that seek a well-qualified workforce.
