Welcome to Mrs. C. James' 3rd Grade Reading Page
This Week in Reading (March 3, 2008)
- Students will be reviewing skills and practicing test-taking strategies.
- This week's spelling list: another, confusion, I'm, it's, its, question, and that's.
Reminders
- Students should bring their plan books to class daily.
- Students will be taking their last Reading Practice test next Monday, March 10. This practice test will also count as a cumulative Reading grade.
HOMEWORK
- Students' Reading Logs should be signed each night after they have read for 15-20 minutes. Reading Logs are due every Friday and are returned on Monday. The same Reading Log will continue to be used until it is filled. If a reading log is lost, keeping track of what has been read on notebook paper, along with a parent's signature, is acceptable.
- When homework has been collected, a stamp will be placed near the name of that assignment in the plan book. If the student didn't turn it in, that assignment will be circled and noted as missing.
- Students should study their spelling words each night.
