LA HORA

  3. It’s 1:00. –Es las una.
  4. It’s 3:00. –Son las tres.
  5. It’s 9:15. –Son las nueve y cuarto.
  6. It’s 9:45.–Son las diez menos cuarto.
  7. It’s noon. –Es el mediodía.
  8. It’s midnight. --Es la medianoche.
  9. It’s 4:05. –Son las cuatro y cinco.
10. It’s 6:20. –Son las seis y veinte.
11. It’s 7:35. –Son las ocho menos veinticinco.
12. The clock/watch. –el reloj
13. the morning –la mañana
14. the afternoon –la tarde
15. the night –la noche
 

• “Es” is used before “la una”, “el mediodía”, and “la medianoche”.

Es la 1:00.

•  “Son las” is used before all other numbers.

Son las 4:00.
