Winton Woods High School students are learning new ways to save lives. On Wednesday, February 21, students were able to practice cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on infant, child and adult manikins. The Forest Park Fire Department assisted in teaching students to prepare them for real-life situations. Channel 9’s very own Lisa Smith was also there to capture the story. Students were divided into three groups where they learned hands-on instruction, used simulators and automatic external defibrillators (AEDs). Thanks to our district partner Mercy Health who coordinated the financial support and the American Heart Association who donated the CPR kits to the district’s health class.
