This year, the WWES choir has rebranded, and taken on a new name, Elemelodies.  We are a choir made up of third and fourth grade students, working to unite our sound and improve our musical technique with each rehearsal.  We sing one part, partner, and two part music throughout the year.  The Elemelodies had a great first semester of singing together!  We performed at the Celebration of Nations here at WWES.   We also had two off campus concerts at the Greenhills and Forest Park tree lighting ceremonies.  We had such fun singing our international and holiday music, and look forward to singing again in preparation for our spring concerts.  The students have worked very hard to improve on our choral sound and unifying our music.  If your child would like to join Elemelodies, we would be happy to have them.  They should see Miss Weaver for information.

Magis (pronounced màh-gis), means “more” in Latin, is a profound and deeply personal concept: it’s about doing more, being more and achieving more than originally thought possible.  Winton Woods’ MAGIS is centered on project-based learning that prepares and supports students at WWES in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art/Design and Mathematics (STEAM).  It challenges students to stretch themselves as leaders and innovators and strive for excellence in their pursuits.  In Magis we ask -What if you spent your school day amazing yourself.
